More important than its size is the park’s breathtaking natural beauty, which spans from gentle hills, wetlands, streams, and ponds to the 46 High Peaks, each rising above 4,000 feet. The Adirondacks also cradle the headwaters of the Hudson River and are home to Lake George, known as the “Queen of the American Lakes.”
Activities in the park are almost as numerous as its acres—from hiking, skiing, and kayaking to leisurely boat rides, fishing, camping, or simply taking in the fall foliage. Adirondack Creamery was founded at Silver Bay on the shores of northern Lake George and continues to produce ice cream in the Adirondacks. We remain proud supporters of organizations working to preserve the park for future generations and encourage our customers to learn more about them.
