Ice Cream-Infused French Toast
I bet you didn’t know that all you need for French toast is — ice cream. That’s right! The same ingredients that make up our creamy pints are exactly what go into a classic French toast batter. Simple, surprising, and absolutely delicious. ✨
Melt down a pint of your favorite Adirondack Creamery Ice Cream, coat thick slices of bread evenly, and cook on a well-buttered pan until golden brown and crisp on the edges.
Ingredients
- 1 pint Adirondack Creamery Ice Cream (any flavor!)
- 4–6 slices thick bread (brioche or challah works best)
- Butter, for cooking
- Optional toppings: fresh berries, jam, maple syrup, or powdered sugar
Instructions
- Melt: In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the ice cream until it becomes a smooth liquid batter.
- Dip: Coat each slice of bread in the melted ice cream, letting it soak for 10–15 seconds per side.
- Cook: Heat a well-buttered skillet over medium heat and cook each slice for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and slightly crisp.
- Serve: Top with fresh berries, jam, or maple syrup — and enjoy your new breakfast obsession.
